HyProtect Implants
Why protect? HyProtect coated implants from Veterinary Orthopedic Implants feature pure elemental silver embedded in a plasma coating which provides a continuous diffusion of silver ions to prevent the growth of bacteria on the surface of the implant for up to 3 months. HyProtect is highly biocompatible and prevents the formation of biofilm on the implants to provide long-lasting, broad-spectrum efficacy against gram-positive, gram-negative and multi-resistant bacteria.
The hydrophiliic surface creates an environment favorable to osteoblast cells and facilitates osseointegration. The HyProtect ultra-thin plasma polymer coating is bioresorbable and has demonstrated infection rates less than 0.5%.
